The Midnight Soup

Halesworth Cut

The Midnight Soup is a piece of theatre during which the audience prepare a meal that they share at the end. The piece starts as a monologue and gently opens out to become a conversation. It tells the story of an unremarkable woman who every day sat down to meticulously record the facts of her life in a diary, until one day in 2012 she chose her own death.

Pot et Fleur Kintsugi Style

Long Melford, is 10:30

In Japan, broken pottery is often repaired with gold lacquer. These visible repairs are seen as part of the history of the object, highlighting the cracks and symbolising fragility, strength and beauty. We can apply the philosophy of Kintsugi to our own lives by embracing our imperfections. In the first half of this workshop we repair a pot Kintsugi style and learn more about the Kintsugi philosophy. After which we celebrate springs opening buds by creating a vibrant spring arrangement for our pot. This is a unique workshop in which you will create a real talking point for your home or to give as a gift. Limited spaces available.

Entry: £70 Cost includes all materials and light refreshments

St Mary's Church, Market Hill, Woodbridge IP12 4LP 7.30pm

Come on a journey of song with a choir of Woodbridge singers created specially for this concert. Joining them will be guests Scunsulata from Norfolk. They have been gathering songs from across the globe. The group have polished these songs and are now ready for a performance. The performance will draw on musical traditions from around the world.
