Bedfield School becomeS
public drop-off centre for TerraCycle

Bedfield CEVC Primary School has taken further steps to becoming more eco-friendly and have joined up to support TerraCycle.

TerraCycle is an innovative recycling company and a global leader in recycling typically hard-to-recycle waste, which can then be turned into new products. Bedfield School is now a public drop-off centre for a variety of items: Bread Bin Bags, Toothbrushes and Toothpaste Tubes, Baby Food Pouches, Pringles® containers and any foil Crisp packets. There are collecting containers at school and these can be accessed at any time of the day.

In addition to helping the environment it is also a way of raising money for various charities chosen by the pupils. The school Eco-Council called “The Green Guardians” help to maintain the collection points and meet regularly to discuss ways that the whole school and the wider community can be involved in exciting environmental projects.
