Christies Care Community Day brings joy
for fourth year
Christies Care, the national live-in care provider, collaborated with Circus Petite, the Suffolk touring Circus, to put on a special FREE performance for people with Learning Disabilities on 27th March at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds.
Almost 80 guests in total gathered to enjoy a specially tailored performance by Circus Petite. Acts included the brilliant Justo the Clown, jugglers, rope walking, hula-hooping, magic and more.
In addition, there were also activities including balloon modelling, face painting, as well as Zumba and Yoga classes. Throughout the day pamper sessions were made available from West Suffolk College and garden activities within the grounds of Nowton Park were enjoyed by attendees.
Lin Barnes, Director of Christies Care said: “We are delighted to have once again - with the help of Circus Petite and all the contributors - put together such a fabulous day for older people and for adults with Learning Disabilities. It’s an honour to be able to give back to the community in this way and put so many smiles on so many faces!”.
Daniel Bean, co-founder of Circus Petite, said: “It’s amazing to be involved in a project like this and can’t believe that we’re now into our fourth year. We’ve just begun our spring tour and this was the perfect way to start things off with a bang!”
