An Exhibition of Works by Tessa Newcomb
From March 7 to 22, Thompson’s Gallery in Aldeburgh is holding an exclusive exhibition to celebrate one of Britain’s most popular and talented artists, Tessa Newcomb.
The exhibition will be carefully selected pieces which are varying in size and medium but all with her distinct style and subject matter being at the fore. Tessa has become one of East Anglia’s most iconic artists depicting scenes from Suffolk and Norfolk, often gentle and amusing observations of life and typically with a relationship between human and animal apparent. She captures the wonderful East Anglian light together with a quirkiness of the way of life in the East, often free spirited and authentic. With the undoubted influence of her mother, Mary Newcomb, Tessa delights with her whimsical and charming paintings all showing her talent and draughtsmanship and her ability to catch fleeting moments as life flows past.
