Stowmarket Food & Drink Festival
Ipswich Street, Stowmarket. 10am to 4pm
The Stowmarket Food & Drink Festival will feature over 40 food and drink stalls from across the region including a Prosecco bar, vegan food, world foods, wild game meat, gluten free, a hog roast and a chocolate fountain. In the John Peel Centre, a Kitchen Theatre will be showcasing live cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs including Mark David from the Cooking Experience, Chris Hall from the Bildeston Crown and Lee Cooper from the Ice Cookschool. To entertain the little ones, there will be free activities including biscuit decorating, build your own wrap and lemonade making with Kiddy Cook. There will also be a Treasure Hunt, giant family games and Anglian Water’s Million Duck Drop. Be a part of it! We’re in the heart of Suffolk and whether you are a confirmed foodie, or simply looking for a great day out, there will be plenty to enjoy!

Wedding Open Day

Engaged couples are invited to come and explore Bruisyard Hall and Barn and speak to the team to see how Bruisyard Hall could support them for their wedding. The medieval Barn will be set up for a wedding - so couples can get a feel for how they might use it - and have a good look around the fabulous country house.

Explore Paw x Paw: Charity 5km Fun Run/Walk
The Elveden Estate, from 10am
Explore 4x4 is swapping four wheels for four paws to bring you Explore Paw x Paw - the event all dogs have been waiting for! A 5km off road woodland Fun Run or Fun Walk for Dogs and Humans of all kinds! In support of the wonderful charity, Our Special Friends. They work tirelessly in Suffolk and Norfolk, taking away the worry of pet care when life takes an unexpected turn. Providing a range of support services to help those in need, to continue to enjoy contact with animals during illness, bereavement and other crises. Join us this summer for a fantastic day out for everyone. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere on the Elveden Estate, we want all of your dogs to come along to Explore Paw x Paw where we can celebrate them in all their scruffy, fluffy glory. With the route following our off road course through the enchanted woods of the Elveden Estate, the terrain provides natural obstacles. There will also be a few optional obstacles, developed by the team at Explore 4x4! Not only that, but you and your canine companion will get rewarded with Human Sweets and Dog Treats at the finish line.

Following a milestone 10th anniversary last year, the UK’s first and finest Americana festival - Maverick Festival - will take place from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July showcasing the most authentic and talented musicians from both sides of the Atlantic.
The Maverick Festival is set amongst the restored Victorian barns and out-buildings of Easton Farm Park, nestled deep in the Suffolk countryside yet only two hours from London, with films, workshops and performances from over fifty different artists across six stages, indoors and out.
Food & Drink
There’s a carefully selected range of food on offer at the festival (with many veggie options) including pizza, paella and pasta, Thai, tacos, Texan bar b q and chili, duck pancakes and crepes, followed by award winning local ice cream, brownies and waffles, all washed down with freshly squeezed lemonade, tea and freshly ground coffee, Suffolk cyder and a selection of local ales, wine and lager.

Aqua Park Suffolk

Summer fun in Suffolk just got bigger and wetter, with the launch of a brand-new inflatable Aqua Park at Alton Water near Ipswich. Launching on Saturday 7 July 2018, Aqua Park Suffolk measures more than 8000 square meters and features a staggering 72 obstacles, set to make it the largest Aqua Park to splash down in the UK this summer. Open for just nine weeks over the summer, this awesome adventure course provides an action-packed experience for all, from active kids and their families to super fitness fans. Plus, with a wide range of climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars, rockers, rollers and the UK’s biggest jumps and slides, there’s sure to be plenty of potential for epic fails and total wipeouts. Visitors will have the opportunity to get wet and wild on the dizzying Cyclone, the colossal Revolution, splashy Summit Express and jiggly Jungle Jim, making Aqua Park Suffolk one of the most entertaining ways to enjoy the Great British outdoors this summertime, whatever the weather!

Trimley Memorial Hall. 7.30PM (MATINEE Sunday 2.30pm)
The show is being staged mainly by 20 very talented Junior members of FMT with ages ranging from 5-13 years. There are some appearances by some more senior well known FMT members to enhance the content and show case these wonderful junior members. Its full of song, dance and fun. Featuring musical numbers from Bugsy Malone, Barnum, Blitz, Les Miserables and King and I. Also, a wonderful selection from Hans Christian Anderson. Alongside this are numbers such as Summer Holiday, Reach and Yellow Submarine.

The Cherry Tree Inn Woodbridge (opposite Notcutts) will be holding their beer festival on the 27th, 28th and 29th July 2018. There will be at least 20 real ales from all across Great Britain, including Top Out of Edinburgh, Turpins of Cambridge, Black Tor of Devon, Signature of London, Old Spot of Yorkshire and of course, our local Adnams from Southwold. This year the festival will have some vegan beers and one gluten free! The festival will run 10:30-23:00. Hot and cold food will be available 12:00-21:00 Friday and Saturday and 12:00-20:00 on Sunday.
