HRH Princess Royal to celebrate training excellence in 40 organisations that put their employees first
Saxmundham-based live-in care company, Christies Care, joins major UK businesses including RBS, Barclays, and Waitrose in being commended by Princess Anne for their commitment to training and skills development.
Christies Care is among 40 organisations to be awarded a Princess Royal Training Award, the City & Guilds Group announced this week. The list of awardees includes public and private sector businesses of all sizes, from areas including hospitality, healthcare, finance and manufacturing.
The exceptional businesses, chosen out of a long list of 116, will be honoured by HRH The Princess Royal for creating lasting impact by successfully linking their skills development needs to business performance. They will receive their awards in a ceremony due to take place at St James’s Palace this autumn.
Each of the 116 applications were assessed against three Hallmarks of Excellence by the Princess Royal Training Awards Commission, which comprised of HRH The Princess Royal and seven leading figures in the business and training community.
Pat Stringfellow MBE, Chair of the Princess Royal Training Awards Commission and City and Guilds of London Institute Councillor said: ‘I would like to congratulate all the successful applicants for the Princess Royal Training Awards 2017. In this second year of the Awards we have seen an increasing focus on the quality of evidence presented supporting the impact and effectiveness of training across a wide range of sectors and organisations. It is evident from the Awards that organisations across the UK recognise the key role that training and staff development play in achieving success’.
Lin Barnes, Registered Manager of Christies Care, said: “These awards have a rigorous assessment process and I am so very proud of our team for all their hard work in putting together our industry-leading training programme and communicating it clearly to the assessors. We invest heavily in training to ensure our clients receive exceptional care focused on dignity and 360-degree support. Once again, I’m extremely proud of what our team has accomplished and delighted we’ve been awarded this coveted accolade.”
