Ipswich ‘Barking Bake Off’ to be held
in aid of Deafness Charity
On Thursday 20th September 2018, staff at local hearing care company are trading their otoscopes for wooden spoons in aid of charity and ask the general public to crown their Star Baker.
To celebrate their 20th year in business, the award winning team at The Hearing Care Centre have pledged to raise £20,000 in 2018 for the charity 'Hearing Dogs for Deaf People', with proceeds from this event going towards the final total.
The cake sale is taking place between 9am-5pm at the company’s main practice, 11 Upper Brook Street, in Ipswich town centre. This will be during their Hearing Care Week (17th September – 22nd September), during which the practice will open its doors to the public in an effort to raise awareness of hearing loss.
Freshly made cakes, buns, scones, biscuits and much more will all be available, all homemade by the company’s employees.
Karen Finch, MD of The Hearing Care Centre said, “We urge the general public to pop in if they are in Ipswich, and treat themselves to a cake or two. It’s for a worthy cause!”
