Lin Barnes, Director of Christies Care said: “We are very keen to support the awareness of dementia within the community and often open up our training courses to family carers. The Dementia Friends sessions are a great way for people whose lives are touched by dementia to seek support, information and advice. Dementia is challenging for everyone concerned and as well as practical support we hope these sessions can also help to alleviate the sense of loneliness that so often goes hand in hand with the condition.”
